Hosting Hospitality after Mass

Here at St. Josaphat Parish we strive to be a welcoming Catholic community offering "hospitality" after our Family Masses and other special masses. Hospitality offers our parishioners and guests an opportunity to socialize at the back of church as they share in coffee, juice, and goodies.

 

Family Masses are scheduled about once every three weeks during the school year, and these masses are indicated on the parish calendar. A St. Josaphat School class "hosts" the Family Mass. This means that (under the supervision of adults, parents or teachers) students from the class welcome parishioners at the entrances, bring up the gifts, and read the 1st and 2nd Readings (5th Grade and above). Their families also provide the goodies for hospitality and provide volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up. Room parents help with the organization of hospitality.
