Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School takes place annually in June. Children spend the mornings, from 9-11:30am, hearing the message of the gospels through song, story, games and activities. The week culminates with a prayer service and hot dog cookout on Friday.

Vacation Bible School 2025 - True North

June 9-13, 2025   ---   9:00 - 11:30 am

Dropoff is 8:45-9:00 am, at St. Josaphat School
On Friday, we have a prayer service at 11:30 am in the church with a hot dog cookout afterwards.

VBS is a totally Catholic program and an experience that will help kids begin or deepen their faith by discovering how their relationship with Jesus impact their life. It will be a week full of fun, incredible music, and an awesome environment that all come together to point kids to Jesus!

At VBS, we help the kids discover how much God’s love for them is a part of their everyday life. Get ready to hear the songs all week! Our teens will help us guide the children from station to station all morning. We will have many volunteer parents helping us throughout the week during the sessions and behind the scenes before we even begin. Please sign up to volunteer - the more help we have the better our program works!

Guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

We need lots of help to make the week fun for our kids.  Does one of these areas speak to you?

  • Decorations & Environment - get creative with our theme and foster the imagination of the kids by transforming our spaces
  • Song & Dance - lead the children in our daily themed songs and dance moves.
  • Games - prepare the materials for and lead our themed games that make VBS super fun and teach them more about our theme.
  • Imagination Station - Imagination Station is the sciency spot for creativity, discovery, and surprising faith connections!
  • Bible Story - invite the kids into the stories from the Bible and capture their imagination with important life lessons, an opportunity for storytellers to thrive.
  • Snacks - work with our families to create snacks that are fun and memorable, we strive for more than the classic chips and cookies.

A guided curriculum and materials will arrive in February. Then we can get started planning in earnest! If you are interested in being a part of this team, please email [email protected]
