Everyone who attends a Mass or service in church needs to make a reservation.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-ins if we are at capacity. Your health and safety is important to us! We have carefully selected and blocked pews in our church to insure that we are in compliance with local, state, federal and archdiocesan guidelines on social distancing to keep everyone safe. We need your phone number and/or email address to make sure we can reach you for potential contact tracing.
Please Note: If we don't have the minimum number of Greeter and Cleaner volunteers required, we will not be able to have attendees in the church. If that should be the case, it will be communicated to the parish. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact Kelly Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Diana McCartney (McCartneyDiana@yahoo.com). For more information, click here.
Make your Mass reservation here:
The reservation links for Saturday and Sunday Masses will be activated each week by 12n the Friday before. If you have already been to weekend Mass in person, please wait until 5pm on Friday to register to attend Mass. The idea is that we will expand availability so that everyone who wants to attend, can.
Love thy neighbor! When you cancel your Mass reservation at the last minute, a fellow parishioner is missing out on that spot! Please let us know if you need to cancel your weekend Mass reservation at least 24 HOURS in advance so that we can offer your seat to someone on the waitlist.
Do I have to wear my mask over my nose, too?
The Archdiocese of Chicago requires that everyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth the entire time they are in the church building. If you are unwilling to do so, you will be asked to leave, for the safety of all others in attendance. Physically unable to wear a mask? We invite you to watch Mass online: facebook.com/StJosaphatParish/live/
The priest, deacon and lector may remove their mask temporarily when speaking. And everyone is permitted to briefly remove their mask to consume the Eucharist.
Thank you for your cooperation!
What time should I arrive at church?
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before Mass begins and wait to enter maintaining social distance from others. A greeter will welcome you and provide further instructions. It is important that you leave ample time to allow our greeters to check you in, get you seated or resolve any seating issues that may arise. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter.
Will people be in close proximity to me?
Our seating is blocked off to allow 3 feet of distance between parishioners. Please maintain social distance from other participants and do not congregate together before or after the Mass. Please follow the one-way directions indicated on the aisle floors.
