Please bring your hotel toiletries to the wicker baskets behind the left pews. St. Josaphat volunteers (thank you to Andre Garcia who coordinates this!) deliver them to the women in need at Sarah's Circle. Note that Sarah's Circle does not accept children's items, furniture or size xs/s women's clothing. Thank you for your support of this mission.
About Sarah's Circle...
In the fall of 2014, Sarah's Circle case managers noticed that program participants who lacked funds for ID's, application fees, and security deposits often just missed housing opportunities. Sarah's Circle developed a pilot program to cover the difference. The pilot was so successful in moving women into housing that it is now a permanent program. Their ultimate goals as both an organization and a society are the elimination of homelessness and the empowerment of women.
Today, Sarah’s Circle offers a variety of services – comprehensive physical services, permanent supportive housing, clinical services, a network of resources, and a community – to over 900 women a year who are affected by homelessness. We encourage women to empower themselves by rebuilding both emotionally and physically; realizing their unique potential as women.
